I called the MO State Patrol, as "parts" of the deer were still on the highway.. it dented up the left fender,, I think the right is ok,, the dent was there before.. the hood has one dent,, I had to take a crowbar to pop it open,,, but I think it may be OK.. it was a heck of a hit I tell you that much..

ouch...

living here in the Black Hills of South Dakota, I've been used to watching for deer. Lucky I've never hit one. How do they get the deer to cross at those deer crossing signs anyway? kidding... But, what really scared the poop outta me was. My trip to Phoenix, I was pulling into Flagstaff, Az and noticed [ ELK CROSSING ] signs... that made me slow down I'll tell ya.

Funny story.
I hit a deer in Kansas in a dodge neon.
After some sliding and spinning and crunching I ended up on the side of the rode.
I looked at my girlfriend and said "Are you ok?" and she said "Yeah, are you?"
And then BOOM! Airbags had finally deployed. I was more injured from that than from the initial collision with the deer.

driving serious buiness

A group last weekend was not so luck up in WA. not too far from Diane and other board members. Car met up with an elk, killed 4.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,123227,00.html

Its one reason I was raised driving bigger cars to up the odds on crashes. Once in a while you hear of an elk/deer/horse going through a windshield.
