Dupli-Color "MetalCast" Anodize Spray Paint
Hello, Friends!
I searched to no real avail... Has anyone had any success using the Dupli-Color "MetalCast" anodize-like spray paints for their engine parts? Mostly I am interested in using it over chrome valve covers and air-cleaner / velocity stacks. I sure appreciate any feedback. "Don't let your meatloaf, or your hotdog stand!!" Re: Dupli-Color "MetalCast" Anodize Spray Paint
Duplicolor Metalcast paints work very well on chromed parts and it holds up well. The key is in the prep so do yourself a favor and make sure you have the proper cleaners and/or prep sprays (Duplicolor has several) the finish will look great and last. I've even used it to tint headlights and foglights yellow and it has held up under extreme conditions (moisture, road debris, etc).

i will toss the coin the other way, avoid duplicolor and go with a SEM or paint house aerosol. i currently use the 2K series of paints as it has a catalyst for hardening.
i have had horrible results with duplicolor, it fades and yellows to quick for my liking |
