upper radiator hose Help

I replaced my old 350 engine with a 350 HO motor. I decided to put a serpentine belt set up off of a 94 suburban. I am having a problem finding a upper radiator hose that will fit rite. I tried a hose for a 89 and 94 suburban but the ends dont fit the radiator.

Re: upper radiator hose Help

Check a 93 - 95 GMC 3/4 ton 4 WD upper rad hose. I believe it will fit. You may need a swivel 360 thermo housing.

You can make a template with coat hangers to the angles you need then bring it to your local parts store so they can match it.

That might work for ya.

Good Luck.

Re: upper radiator hose Help

Today I went to auto zone and I found one that would work. The flex hoses wouldnt work because of the bends the upper hose has to make. Thanks for your help.

Re: upper radiator hose Help

there is another option as well. do it like the 71 4x4's and have a piece of exhaust tube in between. a muffler shop could do the bends needed and make each end sized to fit whatever hose you want.

Re: upper radiator hose Help

I went to auto zone and they let me look through their hoses. the number on the hose was xl 1171. I had to cut it about 2 inches but it will work and look good.

Re: upper radiator hose Help

Just a thought, but you can get or have made reducers at any muffler shop.
