Spindle ID help

I am trying to ID this spindle that is on my BIL's 62 C10. The tie rod hole was drilled out for a 5/8 rod end but I want to go back to a tapered tierod end to work with the Unisteer rack and pinion kit he bought. I am having a hard time reading the numbers on the spindle but maybe someone will recognize it. The rotors are 1" thick. Thanks for any help.

Steve

Re: Spindle ID help

I have no way of looking up that casting number but if you have 1" thick rotors, it is likely a ~'79-'87 C10 spindle. I am assuming that the entire front suspension has been changed?

Re: Spindle ID help

It is still the factory suspension as it still has greasable bushings. I added some extra pics of the spindle and suspension.

Re: Spindle ID help

Since those are used with '60-'62 ball joints they must not be original GM spindles. Even though they say GM right on them, they must be aftermarket. The '60-'62 size ball joints will not fit the '73-'87 spindles correctly.
