Nice work.

I had to replace the floor supports, rocker panels, cab and fender corners in my truck.

If it helps any you might consider the videos that ebfabman has put together.

Great progress....

Looks like a good size parts yard....

What brand of truck cover is on the one sitting next to it?

These are the only picutures I have of the progress since last time. I have been doing a lot of little stuff here and there on it. In the next couple weeks I will have some pics of actual progress.

The bedsides are pretty much the only sheet metal work I have left to do.

Wouldn't it have been easier to invent a time machine and go back in time and then just buy a new Jimmy?

Just kidding. Awesome work.

Gee, how did you ever take care of the window frame pitting (maybe I overlooked that part)

Heres a pic of the GMC on my tail gate, I sanded down to metal and never saw white paint, green all the way through to black then metal. Looks like it came that way. (ignore the rust...)

Hmm interesting, I don't know what to do for the tailgate paint scheme now. Does it look like there was a tailgate woodgrain band on the back, I kinda see some dots that look like they could be holes.

I managed to stumble upon a junkyard that I got 3 good windshield frame from so I am using one of them instead of trying to fix that other one that I got ripped off on.

No evidence of a woodgrain panel, the previous owner says it never had one either. I think those holes are rust...

If you have an extra windshield frame I would be interested in it, the corners of mine are iffy...

I guess I should add the pics of the mockup I did of it a couple months ago. This is the way it looked for about 1/2 an hour, then it came back apart again. I just wanted to make sure that the top and everything else would line up. I was relieved after I got it all together, everything was perfect, it will just take some body shimming to get the doors to line up perfect.
