Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
Just a reminder for everyone who is looking at replacement door/window-lock harnesses, there were several styles of pack-con connectors GM used when mating male and female ends where the harness sections meet at each kick panel. Obviously it's not an issue if ordering all 3 harness sections but, in cases where only a center, LH or RH harness is ordered, there may be variations in the style of connector. If you have a discrepancy, I am willing to send you the other styles at no cost so you can finish your install-simply send me some closeup pics of the connectors you need mates for. If ordering, send me pics (if you can) of existing kickpanel connections so I can send out the exact same style of connectors. PM with any questions-thanks!

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
I need a relay harness for a 2 door 87. How much and what's the lead time? BTW, what is this power down feature I read about in an earlier post?

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
Ok....you can call or text. There are at least 4 variations on 1981-up trucks with the styles of connectors GM used to mate the LH and RH harness sections to the center. So, I pick the most common and send out optional connectors and terminals-but, if you have something different, shoot some pics my way as I do stock all of them but there's always the chance of an oddball pack con connector housing that could have been used.
And with many years gone by with people swapping doors, modding their own wiring, etc. who knows sometimes. The best bet is to buy all 3 harness sections at once since I use weather pack stuff on NEW 3-harness sets but then, the cost is a bit higher too. Anyway, let me know what you need! |

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
I have options for integrating the older style (Pre 1978) stainless window switches for 1978-up factory power window equipped trucks if anybody is interested. I have come up with a replacement harness just for this swap-its not something you can side into your existing-you must replace your entire power window wiring to do this. Kit price for a standard cab truck is $309.99 or $389.99 if you want express down. If you want to add the power lock circuit to it add another $109. PM with questions! This allows you to go with stainless switches vs. the plastic stockers....doubtful you will ever find a replacement window harness with this type of integration anywhere else!

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
I'm building a few complete 1984-87 standard cab pickup and 84-91 Blazer power window/lock harnesses today....if anybody is interested in one let me know-this replaces your entire harness or can be used to add power windows/locks to your truck and appear factory. It will work on 78-83 trucks as well but you'll need to source a BAT and switched IGN lead...and you'll need to use an 84-up style power lock relay.
Upgrades over an OEM style harness are: 1.) All terminations are dip soldered. 2.) Heavier gauge wire with GXL crosslink jacketing 3.) Abrasion sleeving protecting harness through the critical door jamb boot area. $309 is the cost for all 3 harnesses-PM with questions or additional integrated options if desired such as express down and/or up power windows. |

Cool! Glad you finally found some time to get it all installed! Speed of the window looks pretty good. Did you get everything in the tracks greased/lubed?

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
Yes. Had to replace one the connectors with one of the ones in bag you sent. So they match up. I actually finished it tonight at work. But i think the motor on the new(used) door is no good. When the auto parts open im going to buy a new motor. I scraped the other doors sunday an didnt think about saving the passenger motor. Should have it up an running before i go to work tonight

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
Nice! It seems GM through the years varied a LOT on certain 2, 3 and 4 cavity connectors in their accessory harnesses. Luckily tho, I stock all the various GM connectors so its no big deal for me to toss a few variations along with the related terminals to make it easy to swap on your end of things should the harness have a different type on it!

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
Can you please contact Andy Sinclair in NY? He is the one that bought the harness for the 1980 Chevy. I referred you to him. He said he can't get any return phone calls or emails. I am sure he isn't in a giant rush. Since he already paid for it, I think he would appreciate a follow up as would I since he is one of my customers and is asking me about it. He is a good guy and easy going just probably a little worried since the money is out and he can't reach you. I know these harnesses are really involved and can take a lot of time. I will be getting some from you when I get to that point too.

Yep I already emailed him an update earlier this morning. He needed a specific 6.5 diesel engine harness which was a bit tricky but his harnesses are due to ship out tomorrow.

Re: F/S: 73-87 power window relay harness
He has quite the project truck going on-he opted for the single headlight relay harness, dual tank harness and diesel engine harness. I had delays getting my wife's truck back together after fixing and repainting the whole thing so that's been what's been holding me up a bit. But I'm glad that's over....I know every square inch of that Yukon now!!!
