New wheels for my truck

I have been waiting to find OEM GMC Denali 20" rims for sale for a decent price; almost pulled the trigger on a set of OEM Chev 20" that you see on some of the new Silverado's - the ones that look sort of like the IROC Z rims from the mid-80's. Glad I backed out of the deal now!
Found a set of Denali wheels for a decent price with 275-55-20 Goodyear tires. One has a pretty good chunk of tire missing so I think that one will need to be replaced?

Man these tire look huge; 33's on a lifted 4x4 and a lowered 2wd??? Man how times have changed?

Yes I know I need to wash my truck! going to take care of that after the Direct TV guy is done (how long is this gonna' take!?!).

Looks like the 275-55-20 vs. 245-70-17 lifted my truck ~1-1/4". I'm getting dizzy up here...

The only thing I am worried about with the size of the tires is they might rub the fender if I hit a big enough bump?

My 17's vs. the 20's

Re: New wheels for my truck

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Took it out and through the car wash this morning. Did a surprisingly good job.

I was able to drive it around a little this morning and the front tires rub a little on the inner fenderwells at full lock.
Still a little concerned it might rub on a good hard bump.

Not sure which is more shiny; my rims or my head...

They do seem to ride a little different. I have to run down south today (about 50 miles each way) so I should have a pretty good feel then.
Whats the problem with them?

My only other experience with GY was when I bought my Buick GN in '92. The PO had put 16" Camaro IROC rims on it with the GY "Gatorbacks".
With the shift kit it had in it, when it shifted from first to second, it would spin the tires pretty good. The more you wanted them to spin/more sideways you wanted to get, you just gave it more gas!
Don't get me wrong, at 22yo I liked that A LOT! But went through the back tires in about two months.
Replaced them with I think BFG Euro TA's and they never spun again

At the price of 20" tires I will probably run these down as far as I can though
