Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

****. I will bust a LS ass!! And anyone with a LS is more than welcome to come and try I will pay for the gas!! Motor vs Motor we will leave the juice out of it. But if you think a LS has more than what I have then more power to ya. I just have a 305 with flows lmfao!! Just mixing the old with new.
This is not my daily driver this is my weekend hell raiser. Take it to the track and cruise ins. Don't care about fuel milage cause that's all I see a LS is good for. Yes a LS is nice I have a couple but not for this truck. Now if I was going to change motor I would throw a diesel in it and twist the frame on it!!! Lol!
Sorry for the rant just tired of people saying or asking why not or get a LS in it.

Killer build! The stance and motor are spot on. Can't wait to see what you do with the new efi system. And thanks for the good deals coming my way on the parts! Once received, I'll update my thread. Appreciate it!

Sorry I hit a soft spot. I see that you bought that huge carb and now going to fuel injection. So it's only natural to think you were going that direction. I just built up a 454 to a 496 and I have a couple of ls motors one with a turbo so I fully understand. Didn't say thats what you should go with lol

Lol it's all good brother. Wasn't trying to be a prick to you even if I sounded like one. You know how Turkey day is around all the crazy family and stuff I was a little flustered yesterday lol. But it's all good. Yes that big carb well lets just say they gave me my money back for it. So efi was next up lol. And when you say turbo that makes my ears perk up. That is on my hit list for this truck well that's what I would like too.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

I should have listened to my wife and leave it alone. I hear that all the time lol. What I really need is a new tranny badly. So if anyone has a 700r4 or a TH350 or something better and wants to work out a deal let me know. I put the truck on a dyno dynamics last week and the tranny is slipping like crazy. Well I believe that's what it is cause it is a old rebuild and the torque converter is new. I have a 3500 stall. And when I am driving up the road I can here a roar from the tranny.

So to get this efi going. I have ordered the efi kit a new baffled r10 gas tank a fuel pump sending unit from a r10. A aeromotive stealth gm pump. 20 ft of black braided hose and some hose ends. O and another carb spacer cause the one I have now I put some vacuum ports on it. Cause the efi has all the ports I will need.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well the baffled tank showed up today. Nice baffle basket it has inside should work out nicely. Put about 4 cans of 3m pro undercoating on it. Will blend in just like the new one I am taking off. So far so good.

If you are putting out a ton of power my guess is the 700r4 will have a limited lifespan unless you get real spendy. I just put in a 4L80e in my 74 with 489.
