Steering Column swap

Bought chrome steering column, for my 70 C10, the original is round shaft at bottom, the new is ob-long at bottom, are these parts interchangeable??

You’ll need an adapter to connect the DD on the new column to the splined end of your lower steering shaft. I believe flaming river or iditit makes one.
