Called GMC and Mel Sanders gave me a phone number for Heritage, resto div. of GMC, I guess. Anyway, William Vanluven does not take calls. All requests have to go thru E-Mails, so here is his addy

william.vanluven@gm.com
Email addy did not work, have to check it out
I haven't sent one off yet, but plan too. Chevy said no packets for GMC's, we'll see. Pls. include your VIN, as requested!

1-800-462-8782 GMC's phone if you want to call, ask for customer assistance, also available in mandarin, push# 2

Re: Restoration help from Chevrolet

Gotta have the VIN though. Called today and got to talk to the biggest Poindexter in the world i think. After much debate he told me they didn't have a restoration pack for a 1968 "S-10 series." Instead of arguing the fact that s-10's weren't built till the 80's, I'm gona call back monday when i get home and give them the VIN

Re: Restoration help from Chevrolet

WOW, I ordered this last tuesday, and UPS showed up today with my information.
And to think, i was prepared to wait the 3-6 weeks they quoted

The quality isn't as good as i expected, as it is a photo copy of the original maual. some print is hard to read, especially the charts/graphs.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining, as all the information i needed is there, and most of all, it was free.

These folks must not get many calls for these things. I had to call a couple times before they understood my request. Clueless Dude on the other end finally put me on hold, spoke with the "supervisor", and eventually agreed that "yes, they would ship it out right away." I'm not complaining however. They were very friendly, courteous, and sent it right away, once they figured out what I wanted. Besides, it was FREE.
