My 71 C10

I've been shopping for ever to find this. I'm flying in to pick it up and drive it 12 hours home, yup roadkill style..

I'll have a few videos of the ride home and the beginning of my changes

Nice. it would look really sweet a few inches closer to the ground. looks like you have a nice "test" ride ahead/ hope it all goes smoothly.

Re: My 71 C10

Almost home another 3 hours but waiting out a nasty rain storm on the mass turnpike. A few hiccups 1 lost wipers last night however discover the fuse was just loose. 2 lost turn signals then the right turn signal began to work however the right indicator on the dash remains on constant and the right markers lights remain on even with the ignition off...12.5 average mpg at 65 not to had..having fun

Re: My 71 C10

Got the truck home in one piece. Now chasing down a few gremlins
1 no interior dash lights - in process and getting frustrated
2 installed electric chocke - done
3 installed front sway bar 1 1/4 inch ccp - done
4 installed throttle cable - done
5 4/5 drop kit and spindles ordered - awaiting the ups guy

On the interior lights im getting frustrated, ive checked fuses and connection..fuel gauge, wipers and exterior lights all work...any advice?

OK, I'm not sure where you did that test but you have to test the grounds at each component. If you make sure you have ground straps at each location shown in the thread I posted you should have it pretty well covered. I also posted a picture of the gauge cluster ground in that thread.

I wondered why you brought that thread back again LockDoc! Truly those ground strap points and the dash ground are critical to say the least and that particular photo has helped me fix my dash lighting issues. You can always add grounds as well. I found that ford explorer ground straps are an easy task as they require no drilling.

Just add the big block, that'll drop it a couple of inches in the front and give it a little rake and you're done.

I know the old 3/5 or 4/6 drop is super popular with you kids these days, but some of us old enough to remember shackles on Novas and torsion bars cranked up on Mopars have a soft spot for stock ride height.
