Radio Preferences

I have my truck disassembled for paint, radio doesn't work. Is there someone on this site that fixes original radio's? I don't really want to convert it, just fix it.

Re: Radio Preferences

It would be probably cheaper and easier to simply get another (good, used) factory am radio.
They are relatively common and not too expensive.

Pull the cover off and check for obvious issues. May just be bad ground. My son's 86 factory AM/FM had bad contacts for the speaker outputs. Soldered them up again and it worked great.

Re: Radio Preferences

I've been collecting a few and found some nos chrome face plates on ebay last year , The guy refurbishes these old radios and sells them on ebay he will repair yours also .I'll see if I can find his info .

You have to love some CW thru an AM radio and dash speaker ! That will take you back to the 60's
