A diff cover would be a whole lot tougher, you wouldn't have to worry much about denting one.

true. It would be nice to pop a cap in and out when I wanted to, like when carrying something flat. The diff cover would be awesome though. I could do chrome and it would look cool, but if would feel that I would need to bolt it to the floor...that would be a problem unless I used wing nuts...lol

Thanks! yes, its fun to ride around on bags. I love how this one drives compared to my old tan c10. 2600's and drops spindles with an alignment makes it ride really nice. I just did the old measuring tread front and back of the front tires for adjusting toe. It was really toed out right after the 7 or 8 inches of drop. Aired up 2 inches and did the garage alignment and rides nice.

I found that it takes 80 psi to lift it then I air 10 psi out and 70 psi rides really well

Re: Made2drag 86 Silverado

So ive been thinking.... I like c10s with totally shaved doors and also like them with handles. Ive had a zillion shaved door trucks in the past and have vowed never to have another one since its a pain when the battery dies and/or locking keys in the truck or issues with solenoids. I thought maybe I should keep my driver door handle and shave the passenger handle. Totally shaved down passenger side and smooth lines but the convenience of handles on driver side. I don't know.

Re: Made2drag 86 Silverado

oh yes, those are very awesome. I see them on the show and stuff but for some reason I feel these trucks look best either keeping originals or shaved. I thought about adding the gsi billet handles too. They look mostly stock but higher quality. They come in black ano too.

Re: Made2drag 86 Silverado

Sent it to off to the paint shop the other day. Went with the stock 86 c10 paint code 19 Midnight Black. Went ahead and told them to put a windshield in while they were at it. Should get her back around the 25th.

Cant wait to see it. Wont be perfect, and black will show all the flaws, but it will be way better than it was. I'm not a perfectionist so i'll be able to live with some flaws. I'll post pics when I get her home.
