'87 Square body ls 5.3 on air build

Starting to update my '87 Square body. Its originally a Tennessee truck so it's a very solid rust free start.
Bought it like this and drove it a year or so.

Sold it to a friend and he updated it to this. I couldn't stand seeing it around and not still owning it, so I bought it back. Drove it a bit, but now it needs another update.

For suspension I'm going with Ekstensive rear kit, front cups, and Firestone 2600# bags .https://store.ekstensive.com/collect...suspension-kit

Found a good deal on some Coy's C-57 wheels. 20x8.5's up front and 20x10's in the rear.

Going with 275/40/20 in the front and 315/35/20 on the rear. Should be a good package.

Super cool... looks like the same route I am headed with mine. I am in for the 5.3 transplant.

Re: '87 Square body ls 5.3 on air build

I have the same suspension kit sitting in boxes. I did not purchase the panhard bar nor the c-notch. If I do use the kit, I will use a smaller c-notch that won't disrupt the factory floor. I do have a Built by Brooks C-Notch and a chromoly panhard bar put together by the local Chevrolet Performance store. Not sure I'll ever use it, but I have all the stuff for a rainy day.

Re: '87 Square body ls 5.3 on air build

Looking good. Just a heads up, depending on your back spacing on the front rims, that 275 tire might be a bit to big and rub on the lip of the front fender. I had 255/40's on a 8.5" rim with 5" back spacing and still had to roll the lip to keep it from rubbing.

Nice to see the kit installed on the rear. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have a partial Extensive kit still in the boxes. Good work!! Mike

Re: '87 Square body ls 5.3 on air build

Bought an Accuair endo with e-level setup.
Sweet setup but I'm thinking of selling the entire truck and/or Accuair setup.
Still new in the box at this point.
Life if intervening!☹
