I wanna see a long bed rat rod - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am currently building a 1968 GMC 1500 longbed 2 wheel drive. I wanna lower it maybe 2 inches and put baby moons on it or some other kind of vintage looking rim and i want it satin or flat black. I was just wandering if anyone out there has a truck similar to what i want to do so i could see some pictures to see what it is going to look like when its done. I might even put a logo on the doors to make it look like an old parts hauler or something. Thanks in advance....lets see some pics...

i'm in love with that black one with the white walls. I wasnt going to go with white walls because i didnt think they would look good but they do. Does anyone know if they make those stamped wheels with baby moons for 6 lug?

I think I saw that flat black/ whitewall truck in Houston a couple weeks ago around TC Jester and I-10....if not it was one just like it.....smootttthhh

if im seeing it correctly powell72 wifes truck is six lug so that should answer your question, and the wheels on the black truck look like stock style steelies painted 2 tone with center caps

Just get a set of American Racing smoothies with baby moons -- then paint the chrome center red , or pink, or green. You will just have to touch 'em up every once in a while because paint doesnt stick to chrome as good as bare steel. The price on the Pete Paulsen wheels is pretty good though

Those wheels are definitely available in 6 lug because thats whats on my 69 - 10's in the back and 8's in the front ----- i've contemplated doing a similar move with the rat rod look, because it will get this thing on the road much sooner. Alas, i like paint, so this thing will stay enshrined in my cave of shame(garage) another 2 or 3 years
