OK, I am sorry but I have a silly question. I removed the U bolts and jacked up the truck (With the axel on jack stands ) But... The sprigs would not break loose. Do I need to break them free with a hammer? Thanks! 1977 C10

Hey there. That is not a silly question, old trucks just put up a hard fight sometimes. Make sure the tie bolt does not have you bound up, and yes, it may take some persuasion,, but don't get carried away. Let me know how it goes. Thanks, Fred.

Hey Matt. The pilot hole goes towards the front. It helps compensate for the driveshaft angle change. We like 'em thick around here... Thanks, Fred

(All I need to do now is find a stock set of rear shackles, with my dorp shackles its a bit to low).
