Stainless Steel Windshield Trim
Has anyone here had any experience installing or having installed a stainless steel winshield trim? My body man and the glass guy had a devil of a time getting it in. I guess the lower right corner kept popping out of the rubber channel.
I'm not sure if the windshield rubber is to blame or the stainless kit. The original stainless seemed to work fine. . . though it was beat up. Any ideas would be helpful!

I don't mess with glass but the front there in 2 styles 69-70 and 71-72 did you get the right rubber for the year of you truck??? just a thought... I had one put in for a truck I painted last week and seam to work fine at least the guys putting it in didnt ***** to much!!! LOL!!

i just called a local glass company to install mine,they used my rubber,trim,but they suppied the new tinted glass,and installed it at my house for less than 160.00.....

The rubber was correct and the trim was new from Brothers . . . .
Maybe the glass guys just suck. I bought 2 different seals from 2 suppliers and no luck with either.

Trim
It's my understanding that the trim goes on the rubber gasket 'before' the glass goes in the gasket and windshield frame.
Same thing happened on my blazer, we found this out only after the windshield had been installed ...still need to remove the glass again and install the trim
