Drilling extra holes in frame

Hello,

Any dangers, rules, or pointers I should keep in mind when drilling holes into any part of the frame? I don't want to weaken it or harm the structual intergrity in any way. I don't like the idea of drilling into it at all, but I need to place some clamps in in order to run some cable.

Now under the cab area above the spining shaft I made some "L" shaped sheetmetal pieces and used 3M attachment tape to attach them. I drilled into the pieces and not the cab, but I need to run heavy cabling along the inside of the left frame rail.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
IM
