Re: can they fit?

how bigs your booster? i have a bbc with mildly tall covers and its close but they fit. if memory serves me correct my booster is 11 3/4. if you really want to use those valve covers switch to a dual 8 inch booster

Re: can they fit?

I've been told that the Elites won't fit with the stock booster but I've never tried them. I run the tall Edelbrock crome with my roller rockers

Re: can they fit?

i have never had good luck with the stamped steel ones... i know people run them all the time. i guess it's just something i do.. plus i really want to use the cast alum. ones.. or the elites of course. here is a couple of pics of the motor so far... those elites are really tall....

Re: can they fit?

Here's a pic of a 454 in my Jimmy. The valve covers I have are maybe a 1/2" taller than the stock ones, pretty close. The tall ones I believe will fit but you may have to loosen the booster to get them off.

Re: can they fit?

Do you have the stock bb towers? If so I can measure how much room I have between the head with the cover off, to the booster on my 69 if you want. I have the covers off right now anyway so its no big deal...

Re: can they fit?

If you have the`70 booster, isn`t it a smaller diameter than 71/72?

Re: can they fit?

Will the 72 only motor mounts lower it enough to clear even more?
