decoding a wiring diagram
. When reading a wiring diagram and they show a plug with with numbered connections on it what side of the plug are you looking at? The side the wires go in or the plug side . Is this a standard in wiring that is always true or does it very from diagram to diagram. I am wiring my neutral safety switch and don't want to wire it incorrectly

Re: decoding a wiring diagram
It can be either way. If you don't have an original harness to look at or can't find any pictures easily online that show what color wires go to which spot on the connector, it is a good idea to just ask here. Tell us what year truck you have. In case of the neutral safety switch, it is just a simple kill switch and doesn't matter which of the 2 wires are connected to which wire. The current flows either way through the switch.
