Outside mirrors
I have the rectangular mirrors on the outside of my truck and they vibrate going down the road. I was thinking that maybe I could fill the arms with something to stop some of the vibration.Has anyone done this and did it work?

I haven't heard of anybody doing it. Do you have the bracing plates inside the door that go under the mirror arm assembly? They usually stiffen up the mirror mounting location.

I had the same problem with the large rectangular mirror. It vibrated so bad I couldn't see anything out of it. My solution was to go back to the round mirrors which don't vibrate at all.
I think filling the arms with lead shot and capping the bottom with epoxy is certainly worth trying if you really prefer the large mirror head. It would be an inexpensive fix requiring little work.

I filled some Chinese mirror arms with a product called BuzzKill, it is meant to fill motorcycle handlebars to stop vibration. It helped.

Is buzzhill a liquid ? Do you need something to cap it with or just pour it in and let dry?
