TX 54 Chevy 235 ENGINE/T5 Trans Rebuilt 0 Miles, 848 Head, PS/ALT/AC - $2500

This is a 1954 chevy full oil pressure 235 engine, .30 bored, .10 on the crank, 848 head (best compression head for the 235) completely rebuilt with new valves etc. Engine has all new everything lifters, cam, oil pump, water pump and the expensive rear seal that seals, not the cheap rope crap that doesn't seal well. Block was modded for full pressure oil filtration with spin on oil filter. New stock cam that has been broken in. No miles on the engine, just 30min break-in. Has special brackets and 2 groove harmonic balancer to allow ac compressor, power steering, alternator and stock water pump/fan. This bracket is ~$500, engine overhaul was 2k not counting head work.

Oil Mod - block was modded to use screw in plugs and 100% of al the oil is filtered remotely.

t5 came out of a s10 and has .86 overdrive, but I have a steerer overdrive that we can discuss. New clutch, bell housing and associated parts are included. This is a full drop in powertrain.I have a few carbs and manifolds that come with it as well as a lot of misc parts.


I will get some pictures up, but this build has not been cutting corners and is a complete stock build with tasteful upgrades for reliability and convenience. Ready to drop in your classic truck. Selling because I am switching plans on my 53. I have well over $3,400 invested in this setup. Asking $2,500 OBO

Wow, if any of you have priced out rebuilding a 235 with quality parts this is really good deal! Plus you get the cores and the T5 trans. I already have my setup for my ‘50 or I’d be driving to Texas for this.....
