Re: my 1955 chevy truck

i sent my wiring harness to wait4meperformance and they cut it down and flashed the computer for $360. Not perticularly happy with it as of the moment, but i will call them before i start trashing thier company. Could have just been a simple mix up.

Anyways the work they did to the harness does look quality. i hope to get it running in a few days (or weeks, but hopefully days) and i post back.

Re: my 1955 chevy truck

My wife & I do our own harnesses for gen III pcm's. It is just a matter of cuting & splicing. We get rid of most of the wires & simplify it. But we have the tuning software to get rid of the MAF, o2's etc etc.

We just installed a 5.3 in a 54 that is turbocharged. It is running but not on the road yet we are working on the rear diff & driveshaft.

We don't do these for business, only a hobby. Try to get a pcm/harness from a 2000-2003 silverado. Maybe up to 04, but around that time they went to drive by wire throttle body which I personally have not used. I like the old drive by cable.

We can give you some schematics for the year PCM you end up getting & some pointers on how to get it running. You will need some tuning to get rid of VATS & maybe some other things you want tailored to your application.

I can make a post with some pics but our build is a junk yard build. It is pretty rough compared to the builds on this site. It will have some power though!

What kind of clearance issues have you run in to with the 235 - 20's? What is your ride height? I am hoping to upgrade to 20's, I am not bagged and don't plan on it anytime soon. Are there any clearance issues in the front wells when steering?
