Re: The double nickel

you have to delete the "s" and the ampersand "&" and anything that comes after it.

usually this is because people set up their accounts for monetization, which adds featured content to the sidebar and at the end of the video. for some reason the forum software only works with the pure link, no "&..."

Re: The double nickel

Thanks Joe. Anyone know who currently sells these center caps? I think they may fit my 10 1/8" wheels.

those are 1964 impala dog dish/poverty caps, and yes they do fit your wheel. ask me how I know.

no one sells them new that I am aware of. I have been lucky enough to find a couple sets here and there. on my 65 I ran steel wheels and the same hubcap from 65-67 buicks, looked the same but had a buick emblem in the center. no one noticed. might be a way to come across a set.

Re: The double nickel

Thanks! I found this sight and assumed they were off 64 El Camino's.

I found 1 on ebay listed as off a bel air.

This adventure is like putting together a large puzzle! Lot's of false leads getting me going down the wrong path.

Re: The double nickel

on that first site, "full size" means full size car, impala/biscayne/bel air, the differences between them mostly in the roof and number of doors. elcamino was a full size till 62 then went to the "mid size" like the chevelle and malibu in 63.

there are a lot on ebay, but some more reasonable than others. I told my brother I needed two more so he found a pair at a wheel shop and sent them to me, they are 61-62 style. so I guess I will run the 64s on one side and the 62s on the other haha

Re: The double nickel

Installed new windows and felt. The felt on each side of the glass gave me a lot of trouble even after watching a few videos on how to trim the tabs down. I hacked the new ones I bought with the dremel so I'll have to buy another set and take it slow this time.

To say I'm learning a lot about suspension set up is an understatement. The rear shockwaves have too much angle to them so I'm not getting enough lift. I'm going to mount them a bit more vertical. So many variables in play but I'll keep at it.

Re: The double nickel

Been a while, but still at it.

TMI seat from LMC. I had looked past this seat in their catalog for years and never thought much of them, but it was well worth the coin once it got here.

Re: The double nickel

Looking and sounding good. It's a great feeling to hear a transplant motor run and sound good.
I have an LQ4 and am contemplating a mild cam for a cool chop to the idle. Maybe a Stage II truck cam.

Re: The double nickel

Great looking truck, have a question? What's the backspaceing on your front rims and do you have a rubbing issue. Thanks
