Unhappy Charlotte Auto fair

Well just got word from Charlotte motor speed way. April autofair is canceled yet again this year because of the restrictions NC has in place.

Looks like 2021 isn't going to be much better than 2020 was from a auto show point of view anyway!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Hopefully this year things will get better at some point and we won't lose the whole show season again

Re: Charlotte Auto fair

well today i got in the mail,a letter from the Hornet's Nest people who put on the Charlotte Autofair, saying that this spring's autofair is cancelled as we knew and everybody who had paid for spots,as i have done for years, have now lost the money we paid for those spots, since they have have re-scheduled the event 4 times, covid is "an act of god' that nobody could foresee and that's that.we will be given a 25% discount on buying the spaces for the spring 2022 Autofair.i guess it can't be helped, not the end of the world, just wish they would honor the spaces paid for, whenever we get to go?better days are coming.

I'm a local that goes fairly regularly. That outside fields are starting to dry up a bit, especially with used parts. They don't even use the outside fields for the fall show. Each year it's more and more vendors selling new stuff or trinkets/tools. It's not like it was 10 years ago.

Of course, that makes sense, it's near impossible to find a rusty junk car for an affordable price, let alone one to part out. Even certain 4 doors are starting to bring money and wagons are starting to get pricey too.

I think my first autofair was spring 2005.

yes sir, you're not wrong.it isn't like it was years ago.lots of commercial stuff now rather than good old parts.i used to go every year and drag a ton of NOS stuff there but getting across the border got to be too much work so we still go,and go shopping.it may not be like it was,but we still come with a load.great fun.

Re: Charlotte Auto fair

Spring and fall. Swap meet has ALWAYS been better in the spring, and the fall is typically a lot better for the car show/car corral.
