Crank pulley
This plate washer is in the way to get my crank pulley installed.
Is there any reason why I can't remove the bolt and plate washer and put the pulley on first and then re-install the bolt and a thinner washer? Should I just use the same washer? HT383 crate motor Is there a preferred method to holding the balancer in place to get the bolt re-torqued? thanks for any help |

Exactly what you need to do. Remove, install pulley and keep that thick washer. You can use a few longer bolts in the crank and a pry bar to keep the engine from spinning over to get your torque.

It looks like the engine is not installed. You can use bolts in the back end of the crank to hold it still.

thank you both for the help.
The motor is still in on the shipping crate, and I'm gonna keep putting accessories on it before the install. I did just learn how to link my build/help thread, I'm certain there will be more questions asked there, thanks again |
