Advice to a first-time buyer

Hi all,

I wonder if any of you more experienced C10 owners could give me any advice on this truck regarding price, etc:

Anything I should be particularly concerned about?

Is it difficult to replace the missing upper trim on the side?

The best advice I can give you is stick around here and do some research before you spend any money! These guys know everything so feel free to pick our brains!

It looks like a real sweet truck, but personally, I would want to see it in person or talk to the owner and verify the condition. Looks like fresh paint IMO. My guess is it goes for 6-7 k, but you could get lucky and get a good buy on it.

If that truck is really as nice as it looks, I'll bet it isn't going to be cheap.

i too think b-4 spending a great deal of money you should see it upclose and personal, that trucks got to go for over 10K

It isn't missing the upper side trim! The sides are one color, and the trim would have been an option then. It looks good the way it is. I have seen trucks with solid color sides, and lower, and upper trim, and they look like somebody forgot to paint the two tone in between! Beautiful truck tho, and if it is original...like the other guy's said, it will sell between 6 -10K Good Luck bidding!

Kruse always has a higher reserve to cover their commission. That is a very nice looking truck. Throw in a bid and see what happens.

I agree with the other if at all possible go and take a first hand look at the truck. If you can't make it yourself try to find someone to check it out for you even if you have to pay a small fee. Look for the usual rust or rust repair work. Based on what you can see from the auction pics it looks like a nice one. Good Luck

I wonder why there is a plastic bag over the master cyl., other than that it does look like a clean unmolested truck.

Plastic bag might be there to save the paint on the firewall.

IMO - hmm well bid is closed on it, but here it goes:
looks very nice, prob asking 8-12K for it, Its too clean, new paint, door handles window glass. Its a clean 350 with air? nice touch on the aftermarket hub caps, etc. I would have to seriously agree with the other members here, See them in person, test drive, and well With these years, you have to expect to do some work on them.
