Questions on disc brake kits

well since I'm having a heck of a time locating rear drums for my truck that no one seems to have or list......I was wondering if there were any disc brake kits out there that you guys recommend for the rear.

1st what type of rearend 1/2, 3/4, 1 ton??
12 bolt, dana 60, 14ff???

As a good salesman would do I would offer a chance for you to check out The Business in my signature, Blackbird's. We specialize in rear disc brake kits for anything from f@rd 9" to Dana 70's.
We do fabricate 10 bolt and 12 bolt rear kits but do not specialize in it.
There is alot of rear disc brake info on here Just use the search or start off with clicking this thread
The guys on this board will help you out alot with any questions for this setup..

well...

What kind of of rearend do you have?
I'm guessing a 12b? You could try TSM out of Colorado real nice guys over there. There is a company called AzKickingoffroad.com Of Go to ColoradoK5.com and look around there.
You can find adds for TSM in most Mags.

sorry i forgot to say what rearend.........it's a dana 60 that was taken out of a 68 GMC shortbed 1/2 ton (Big Block). it is not a full floater. drums are virtually non existent (can't find them anywhere) and they are not the stock 11 x 2 inch drums. so at the worst, I'm just gonna convert to discs (assuming I can find a set that will bolt on)

Well I found a link for you I had one of TSM's Dana 60 kits but mine was a full floater.
http://tsmmfg.com/

The other one I know of is http://www.azkickin.com/home.htm

But with both of these I didn't see a kit for a Chevy semi Float 60 you mite have to get some one to make one up for you.

drink2mny - great to see you are making a disc brake setup for the Eaton! Time to start saving some money for that.

Yeah you would be surprised how many people want disc upgrade for that rear.
I think we are one of maybe 3 companies that make that kit.
Rears disc make a big difference (and have a coolness factor )

I cleared out my PM box.
I will not lie this would be a custom kit. Randy (the owner) has made I believe 2-3 kits for this rearend. The problem with them is that they are not all equal..I'm not saying yours isn't original but we have had people just tell us the year rearend and we went by that, needless to say the kits would be off by a hair..
Dana made more than 23 different styles of the 60 full and semi combined.

If you call him at 509 534 5219 he would give you better and right details he would need to get you handled.
As for shipping, our everyday built kits usually ship 2-3 days depending when we get payment(exluding personal Checks, they take longer to clear)
We do not take credit cards yet and are working it to find a way to keep the prices low and not loss money to the credit card companies.

I hope you deal with us.
