They look good to me. Can you brace them better to make them not flex?

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Thanks and Yea,,jus not sure where I should weld them untill I get things lined up...the fender to door gaps n such. Didnt want the extra rigidity to get in the way of lining up the fenders. I may have to tack in some braces and leave some room for a final adjustment. Tubing is 18 ga. so not too much weight but not too much inner fender skin either....Gonna have to work it out as I go.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Maybe your could just weld some flanges on the inside of the fender and bolt the inner fenders in. I'm picturing a nice stainless button head if it would be visable - wouldn't hurt your theme either.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Thanks Fellers,
Im having the bed blasted and massaged.I hired it out since its too much work for me and the space I have. Its going slow and getting expensive but I trust the shop performing the mods"Renown Auto Restorations"and I know they'll do a great job on it.
After the bed gets to a blocking stage,I'll start buttoning up some of the little stuff and prepare to wire the entire vehicle. That,Im not looking forward to.
Im still on it,just been occupied w/other stuff while the bed is in the shop. Thanks for your interest.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Thanks y'all,I appreciate the encouraging words.
I haven't done anymore w/ the inners, still plannin the same idea.Im still waiting on the bed to get back from the body shop so I can get all the sheetmetal lined up and then start wiring everything.

I know it's boring to read a bunch of text about what Im planning to do next but that's all I got. Maybe I will post some pics, tomorrow,of the truck on the floor. It looks so good, even in it's half finished state.

Thanks for your interest.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

figured out how to assemble hoses w/o marring up the fittings.

The front crossmember lays flat, then theres a slight positive rake.Thats how I like it.

The drivers side collector is a 1/4" from contacting the ground when aired out. After I ground 1/4" off the flange.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Thanks Fellerz,
I was excited to see the bed getting some attention. Its been getting pushed aside for a while.
I used some super dense studio monitor foam under the rad. The radiator is pressed down into it tight and the top bracket holds it in place. Seems like it'll work well.

Im not superstitious so,I will say that Im planning on finishing the truck this year.
It doesnt seem like its been 25 months sense I tore into it. Time moves faster as you get older....
