I cant wait to get back to work on my s10

I havent posted much for updates to the rusty s10 project lately. but Ill be back to work on it soon. I finally found all the missing parts for my step bed & cant wait to see it on the truck. All that I need to find now are a rear stock type roll pan & a stepside filler tube. I found a guy that Ive almost got talked into trading me his cowl hood for my "trans am" hood & a buddy said he had a set of composite lites for me, Ive got my fingers crossed. Ill be adding ET-II wheels & then... flat black paint, here we come! Old school & S10 arent words spoked together very often, but Im ready to change that! Should I flame it or just leave it flat black?

This thread is worthless without pictures!

Pictures really would help, hint hint. Flat black and pin stripes.

Re: I cant wait to get back to work on my s10

My wifes truck had to sit, broke down last week (%$&* Fords), so I had to drive the S10 while she drove my POS work car. Back at it again this week.

Sanding sucks, but it is well worth the results.

I enjoy progress pics as much as the finished product. I'm an engineer, I'm not wired to go from A to D, I need to see B and C as well

Re: I cant wait to get back to work on my s10

I had my daughter take a couple pics tonight of my progress. Still slow going & its turning into a lot of work. The bed is in the garage & is about 75% done. I put new front brakes on tonight & all new wheel studs. Ive only got two of the wheels restored but they sure look a lot better than they did after 30 years of tarnish. New tires, studs, lugs, washers & caps. Ive got a new Blazer grill waiting & new composite headlights on the way...

Re: I cant wait to get back to work on my s10

Hey Corn, the truck is looking good. I just tore mine apart too to put a new cam and some old skool double hump heads... It wound up being down for about 2 months. I wound up with a new dizzy, a new intake, new headers, a new tranny (used but new to me) and a stall converter that wouldn't work for a lock-up Th350... It was worth it. i also done some clean up work under the hood. But, anyways, I just wanted to say your truck is looking good man. Keep it up!!

Lookin' good and LOVE the wheels.

Have to ask... what's different about a blazer grill?

Thanks everyone! Redneck, the blazer grill lets me use the composite blazer headlights. My truck origionally had sealed beam headlights...

Re: I cant wait to get back to work on my s10

is that your truck from when you bought it?

BTW guys, composite lights will NOT fit in a sealed beam grill, no matter how much cutting you do.
