Front bumper guard differences
Just noticed some differences between sets of bumper guards I have for 73-80 trucks. The bottom is different on each set and not sure what drove these changes.
The first two pictures are GM bumper guards and the last is a set of after market. I always thought the guards with the open bottom were all after market but the second photo are NOS GM guards. Also, the first picture, the bottom bolt threads into the guard, the second photo has the bolt already attached and the aftermarkets appear to use the existing bumper bolt.

Re: Front bumper guard differences
The guard that uses the bumper bolt is stock Chevy truck. The other one looks to be from an 80's Chevy van which has the same profile bumper as 73-80 trucks, but the guards mount differently.
