Does anyone know who sells this part?

Attachment 2064390

I didn't even know there was supposed to be something there.

Item #1- my pen is pointing at it. It is called a "cushion."

Never seen a cushion there, always metal to metal contact. What year is this?

I think that is for big trucks or van type not pickups.

Re: Does anyone know who sells this part?

I have added a slice of inner tube there in a couple of the vehicles I have done as it seemed to be a good idea and it fit nicely...so be it, but not necessary.

Yeah, I have never seen one in all the pickup trucks I have had, or got parts off of at the salvage yards.

Re: Does anyone know who sells this part?

Here it is again.. It just says 1969 Truck Series (Except G Series) at the top of the page. How do you identify that this is for a big truck only?

Look at the bracket that bolts the column to the dash and the bracket at the bottom of the column that retains the rubber seal to the firewall. They are nothing like the pickup brackets. Those both have to be a bigger truck or a "P" series truck.

Re: Does anyone know who sells this part?

Medium duty truck for sure. I have torn down MANY of our trucks and have never seen a cushion there. Also, according to the pic, the strap clamp looks different and the firewall flange is for sure different. Thanks, Fred.

Re: Does anyone know who sells this part?

Steve,
What kind of truck do you have? My 70 C20 does have something there, but it is shaped differently.

Mine looks like this:
https://www.classicparts.com/1967-72...ctinfo/32-312/

This is the bracket that holds it in place:

Yes, that is what the arrow is pointing at. That is the seal for the bottom of the cluster. Completely different part....
