Thumbs up billet grill

I just got my new billet grill from lcm truck. Its alot better quality then the stainless tube grill iam replacing. see pic to see what i mean. The thing was very poorly designed just plain cheesy. I cant remember the brand of it. I bought it in about 92. the screws were constantly coming loose( rattling).

the billet grill is a bit more expensive but i think it is worth it. the only complaint i have is there is not enough room to open your hood. You kinda have squeeze your hand in to open the hood.I also bought new headlight bezels (for the 78) from lcm truck . they were cheap 12.95 and they look it. they look alot better then the old ones.If my truck was exposed to the weather I bet they rust up in no time. Most of the stuff i have gotten from lcm truck is just so-so quality.

Same problem here. That is why I converted to an inside hood release on my 78 C-10.

Yes indeed, a lot of people I talk to at the games are tired of the Blazers off-court antics and are not showing up. At least Bonzi is gone and I am sure Wallace will soon follow. Sometimes I find myself not admitting I work part time at the Rose Garden, thinking they may associate me with this whole mess. There are 2 problems there, the players and management.

how did you convert your hood to a inside release? Did you buy it all new or get it at a wrecking yard?. I like u-pull-it but they never have a good selection of trucks.

It wasn't easy, so here is my story.

1. Bought a new inside hood latch assembly from LMC. Ordered a
hood striker bolt, but it was discontinued. I later returned it.

2. Got a inside hood release cable and handle from an Ebay
auction. $10

3. Realized I also needed a upper grill fill panel, so I ordered a
new one from ChevyDuty ($38) They sent the wrong one the
first time.

4. Got a used hood striker bolt from Fast68 (Randy) (I think he is
banned from this board) $10

5. Realized I also needed the center support brace that the hood
latch mounts to. Got that and the hood latch assembly from
junkyardpartseeker for $20

Now I am too lazy to and its too cold for me to work on the truck.

Best bet is get junkyardpartseeker(Tommy) to find you the whole thing.

Thanks for the offer. Its more being lazy than it being too cold. Truck is sitting just outside of my double garage.
