Well... no burn outs. The rear brakes are totally crapped out, and the front brakes grab like a mo-fo. And with the ice and snow on the ground, it makes for interesting driving.
I DID drive it about 1/4 mile down the road...just blipping the throttle in first gear, probably never topped 5 MPH (don't know, the speedo doesn't work) Seems pretty responsive, revs easily, starts easily...a little blueins smoke out the pipes, but it has been dormant for 5 or 6 years...I've seen them clear up a bit after driving and a couple oil chainges.
It was awsome.

Gratz Andy, good job. A little time and a little tweeking and some major brake work I'm sure she'll be fine. Bet it felt good to drive her again, if only a short distance.

Andy, a few "blues" out the butt , is no biggie......the 383 in ,my Longhorn "plays the blues" just a bit......that was a $4000 longblock! you are doing d@mn good for what you have invested! Your world, your fight.....I lost the fight on a true rod, when I dropped all the "bucks" in the driveline......yes it runs d@mn good! it was not cheap tho! Give it he!! Andy ........"hotrod road" is a d@mn hard fight(the rat rod stuff). Best of luck......& I really need to hear .... Best of luck .... crazyAl
