Get ready for the jungle safari through the bush. Then at the right time say you need another project. Once your done with your other project tow your origional around with the project. It is easier to replace parts that brake on a custom truck then an origional. I like the 98+ point show cars/trucks when I'm at the shows. Like the mods to. But from experience it takes a lot more effort to build the 98+ point show car. If your wife still won't go for another project after the safari, get rid of her and marry the truck!

Keep it stock. Finding good original trucks is getting more difficult every day. A good original gives all the restoration guys something to look at and compare notes to. This kind of info is invaluable to us all.

That is a very nice looking truck. Post more pics!!

Welcome to the board, and you have a treasure there! Like some of the others have said, maybe wheels and reversible cosmetic changes, but it's a jewel just the way it sets! And you can go to User CP on the header above and at least let everyone know what part of the country you are from, believe me, you might need one of us to lend you a helping hand one of these days, and we do help each other out. Congrats on having one fine truck there!

Wow, even has the bedside storage box. Keep that baby the way she is!!! Be a dang good tow truck for a slammed/tubbed 72 shortbox with a 454 lurking under the hood.......

leave it the way it is, wheels included....i like the idea of another one like it thats slammed (like N2TRUX-his truck looks completely stock except for being on bags and the wheels)

Heres pics of the seat (original) fabric. I have not been able to replace the seat cover yet because I have not found a match yet. Its not very bad just a couple cracks on top of the back rest. Also here is my manual, warranty card, and whats left of my window sticker (jeezes I wish people could take better care of stuff). The tool box was a REAL challenge to fix. Half of the hinge bar was gone by way of rust. I rebuilt that, but the old hinges were to far gone to repair. It took four months of local and internet searching to yield a set still in original bag. Anyone from Seattle,close to middle age would remember Dick Balch. He was a crazy hippy dealership owner that would smash cars with a sledge hammer to promote instant rebates on that very vehicle. That where my pickup came from.
