Can you buy a lock and have it fitted to your key.

Hi I recently bought a 1972 Blazer and I was wondering can I buy a lock and have it fitted to the keys I already have or will I have to buy new locks and keys? The other option might be to take it to a locksmith and have him fix the original lock. Please If you have and answers to my problem leave a comment.
