Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Bones72Super - this is about 35min from me. I'm willing to pick it up for you, but would rather that you worked out whether he's willing to sell the door separately from the bed, and negotiate the price directly with him. If you contact him and work out a deal on it, let me know.

Jon

Nice! Thanks for the offer 👍 I am waiting on an email response since the phone number won't show on the add. I will work out the details when I get in contact with the seller and pm you my phone number to keep the thread clean

My GMC was originally white paint with red seat, column, gauge panel, dash and door panels. I just had some paint matched and put in a spray can to redo some of the interior parts. I have always thought it was pretty cool.

Would be fun subject for a dedicated thread. Maybe one exists but I don’t recall.

Interesting that you should bring that up. I took these pictures a few minutes ago of my high school friends truck that he inherited from his dad. I tried to talk him into putting the plaid interior back in it, but he is a cheapskate. Don't worry, I'm not talking behind his back, I told him he is a tight ass.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

A pair of red 68 step sides. Neither are mine but if I had a choice I'd take the big block truck and paint it to match the red and white one.

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...135871904.html

Chevy C10 Stepside. New 454 Big Block with less than 100 miles. New stereo system. Other new parts.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/c...131054187.html

This is a dry southern Oregon truck with an updated drivetrain. 350, 700r4 overdrive, new radiator, Napa battery and new exhaust system. Chassis has been updated with later front control arms, new shocks and new 5 bolt disc brakes. Rearend has new Currie axles with 5 bolt hubs, new Currie 3:45 gears and new rear drum brakes.

Interior is in good original condition with rebuilt heater, new ACC carpet, new dash pad and arm rests, tilt column and Moon steering wheel.

Has very minor rust in bottom of kick panels and where weatherstrip sits on rockers on both sides. Truck is 95% rust free. This truck runs and drives excellent. I have put about 4000 miles on the updated drivetrain.

$14,500 Call for more details.

Not sure about any “buddy work” but that guy has some neat toys he’s offering for sale.

Little picture on my phone looked like someone was climbing in the drivers door window of that K5..

How cool is this little guy!?! Seller says he thinks it’s an original GM supplied 1970 die cast model. Pretty sweet detailing and even the antenna goes up and down

They are made by Highway 61 and are older and intact in the box like my pictured one sell around 125/150 on Ebay when you can find them.

Seller is pullin yer chain. I have the exact same one in red and white - it' made in China. Sorry - but wouldn't want you to shell out $200 and be disappointed. But, I do agree, it is cool! I bought one

Yeah I thought $200 was insane and wouldn’t even consider that, lotta things I’d rather drop 200 smackers on. I hadn’t seen them before so I wondered if it was a legit GM model. Thanks Jocko
