Re: new truck means new projects sierra classic 3500

well with the bed off, I started working on cutting out the bent up factory crossmember and the home brew receiver hitch. I have been looking all over the web at different tanks to swap in and thought I had hit a homerun with a 1987 Chevrolet G10 22 gallon TBI tank(thought process was use off the shelf pumps, sending units ect) I got the idea from another member on the board that put one in their truck.

With my application the tank is about 2" too wide and I did not want to trim that much frame away. So after a couple beers and digging around in the shed I found the tank I was going to use on my 65 chevy project. A 21gal? blazer tank. the frame will just need a slight shave 1/8+-, but will need to address the lack of baffles. So I am looking at going with the Tanks INC set up for use with TBI. also need to figure out how to tie everything in to the stock harness any insite would be much appreciated, i really wanted to use a 30gal tbi blazer tank but the inboard shock mount gets in the way

Cool truck. I've stuck with the saddle tanks, so I'm not much help with that. Glad you got the truck home and are keeping it in the family.
