rubber bed mat and tail gate protector

I am looking for a rubber bed mat and tail gate protector for my 1972 Chevy fleet side short bed truck. I have had no luck finding someone that sold the rubber bed mat. Does anyone know where I can get the rubber mat? I don't want to have the bed sprayed and I rather not used the bed liner, I read a member gave a Summit Racing part # LRV-6701, but that part number has been disconnected. Anyone have a source where I can purchase this?? Thanks for all the help!!

I believe most are using the 73 and up bed mats. They seem to work very well. I am not sure on the tailgate protectors.

Re: rubber bed mat and tail gate protector

I found some rubber anti-fatigue mats and cut them to fit with a razor knife. 3 foot squares, they interlock, and remove easily if I want to hose out the bed.

Re: rubber bed mat and tail gate protector

Thanks guys! I don't understand why they stopped making this mat. There should be a large demand for them, even now. I talked to the woman at KN rubber products and she said it cost about $8000 to tool up to make one of these mats, but if my figures are right that wouldn't be but 80 of them at $100 and I'm sure I could help her sell 80 or them myself! Anyway, I was just looking for something that would just drop in and work. I guess life isn't that easy anymore. I will probably have to use one of you guy's alternatives when I do get around to doing the bed mat thing. So, thanks again for all the ideas!
