Do you have another method of hosting images other than Photobucket? I'd love to see your work. Photobucket is kicking me in the eyes right now.

Re: Just when you think your out (64 FS) 66 Fleetside

Temp fab motor mount ( looking back underneath )
Driver side ... passenger side
My only issue I believe the Engine angle not right.?
I will revisit this after I check off more goals
On the truck
.......... next mounting ECM
Continue Fab exhaust
Shift linkages
Another Restart

Re: Just when you think your out (64 FS) 66 Fleetside

I don't understand why you aren't just using the original engine mount brackets as they are? Any small block will just drop in place with them.

Re: Just when you think your out (64 FS) 66 Fleetside

The Last owner had a 454 in the truck and it looks like they Modified The Old six cylinder Mounts to fit the BBC .

Those mount I modified were the Mount that were in the truck
when I rescued it. (yard art) sitting under Pine tree's 10 + yrs didn't do it any good.

They didn't quite fit the 454 because they sat High (6 cylinder).?
those mount that came with the truck were chopped on the top of the mount because they look like they needed clearance
(hitting both Bottom side of the Exhaust manifold)
and The engine sat back so for They beat on the Firewall to clear the Back of the Valve covers on both side for the BBC
.
so to "Make do"
temporary modifie to bring down the saddle part were the mount bolt through till i can sort out the FI
I'm still not 100% sure I'm going to use this Motor/Trans set up
.
My plan for this truck
give it some much needed love
Make it Running driving truck on a low budget
..... I'm getting really close
.
......Sp

Re: Just when you think your out (64 FS) 66 Fleetside

In the '63-'66 trucks, the 230/250 I6 and 283,327 small block engine mounting brackets are exactly the same and bolt into the same location. If you picked up a set of original brackets, your engine would drop right into place, no messing around.
