Door Bumpers

Hey guys, I notice that my 68 C10 is missing door bumpers. How many per door? 2? 3? Could someone please post a picture of where theirs are mounted? (I’m a visual person) Thanks for all of your help!

Depending on the year, some trucks had two bumpers and some trucks had three bumpers. My '68 has two, one just above the striker plate and one just below it. No pictures but you will see the holes..... Be sure and spray a little penetrating oil or other lube on them before you try to insert them.

Re: Door Bumpers

My ‘68 has three on the left and two on the right. The body man who replaced the rockers must’ve covered one up.

Re: Door Bumpers

My '69 has always had 2 bumpers and 3 holes. I always figured the third hole may be as a primitive (but poor) method of relieving air pressure when closing the doors.

I will have to go out and check mine closer in the morning. I didn't see any holes at the bottom corners.

Re: Door Bumpers

You guys are awesome! Thank you for the help. My 68 has 3 holes and not a bumper to be found on either door. I’m ordering parts here and there as I find the missing stuff (when there’s enough to justify the shipping). We bought a “restored” truck but we’re finding a lot of corners were cut.

No holes in the bottom corners on mine. It doesn't look like the rockers have ever been replaced (they need it) so just the one above and below the striker plates.
