69 GMC C1500 Custom.

Working on getting this truck back on the road. Was my dads friends farm truck. He bought it new and it's got just over 60K on it now. It sat for a long time at my dads house and has a good amount of rust under the cab. So far I've replaced the gas tank blew out and cleaned all the fuel lines, it needed a new fuel pump from garbage in the old tank. I also put in a new starter.

Looking forward to seeing the progress. I'm picking up a 69 GMC for the misses in a couple weeks.

Very nice truck to start with. Love it.

Take the time to get lots of pics along the way. You will love going back through them later.

Re: 69 GMC C1500 Custom.

Thanks for the replies everyone. This is going to be a very slow build, but the biggest thing I'm looking to do is get it safe and back on the road. it's going to need new cab bushings, front cab supports, driver and passenger floorpan patches. I'm also going to put all new brake fluid in and check all of them out before I make any "big" trips.

Re: 69 GMC C1500 Custom.

First hiccup today. attempted to diagnose the clacking issue I was having and found what looks like 3 of the rocker studs backing out. Pics and related thread listed below.
