Cutting holes in the bumper
Well, I took my front bumper off yesterday, and attempted to cut the holes for my driving lights, with a hole saw, as suggested.
Not gonna happen. Each time the teeth would grab, the drill press stopped. I think if I used the abrasive type edge it might work better, but I'm just going to take it to a welder shop and have him cut them out with a plasma cutter, or acetylene torch. |

It's done. I took it to my Welder neighbor, and he had them cut out in about 5 minutes.
I wish I would have done this first. (I would have saved $40) Now all I have to do is clean up the openings sand the whole bumper, and paint. I'll take pics, before and after, and then again when I get the lights installed. |

Update with pics.
So I had the neighbor cut the holes with his acetylene torch (universal metal saw), bug ad him ct smaller than I needed. Today I used my angle grinder to finish out the holes, measuring, and remeasuring about 20 times, because we all know that once metal is ground away, it ain't coming back. Once I finished the holes, I took the Orbital Sander to the whole bumper to get rid of any chips, and scratches. Next I rough sanded the back, and sprayed it with Semi Gloss Black. That's where I'm at right now, so I'll finish the paint in the morning, and put the lights on late tomorrow afternoon. That's the plan any way.

Here's how far got today.
It's painted, front plate installed and upper center brackets installed. I'm letting the paint cure over night so that I don't screw it up during install |

Yeah, they're just a tad over 4 inches. The driving lights I'm putting in are from a Pontiac, I think, and they are 3 7/8 in diameter. I've got a border to line the openings, which will fill the space in between.
As near as I can tell, the LMC bumpers have about the same sized holes |
