It's your truck and you're the one that needs to be happy, so do what makes YOU happy

"original resto" "houndstooth not correct"
That kind of sums it up. Have you actually seen the 70-72 custom cloth? If you can't take a look at one in person in any color you might want to get a sample from SMS before you make a decision. Houndstooth is so overdone and the easy way out. Depending on how "correct" the rest of the truck is of course tempers a decision the more "excepts" you have the easier the variance. Personally I would rather have a leather and suede pigskin in the custom style than a houndstooth especially if you are still talking black. If you do go houndstooth on black vinyl think about grey/black vs white/black if you can find some.

Re: seat covers

For some reason they dont allow you to search for trucks. Just do a request via e-mail, itll show up 1-2 weeks later.

Re: seat covers

P.U.I Industries do seat covers for our trucks as well. I bought a Dark Green and Black Houndstooth Benchseat cover for my 71 and was a perfect fit and looks awesome. I will get some pics and edit this in. Cost was good even though I am up here in Canada I ordered it through Scott's Super Trucks up here who sells P.U.I stuff up here. Cost was $395 landed and taxes in with Brokerage fee's included too.
Darren.

Re: seat covers

Ordered my material from SMS, Custom Cloth, looks nice. I was going to go with Houndstooth until I saw the Custom Cloth sample for my 72'

Re: seat covers

Count me in the "Over Done" column. Maybe over done, but it's period correct and in my humble opinion, not over done.
