Bumping this to the top bc I'm just seeing this. Really a fantastic truck, John. Can't wait to see it in person. Love the Medium Red (i think?). Very clean truck!

Re: My Truck Is Finally Coming Home

This truck has been driving me mad with overheating problems but I hopefully have it all taken care of .It overheated on my first trip to a cruise in a few months back so I invested in a 4 row aluminum radiator and a 7 blade fan and new clutch set up . I thought that was the end of my overheating issue ,WRONG . As I dropped off another 7 blade fan at my local powder coating shop the water pump went out ,pouring out the weep hole .This was a new water pump installed at the same time as the crate motor and not even 500 miles on it ,cheap china crap. I got the water pump replaced today and hopefully it will last a while ,Im ready to put some more miles on it .

Re: My Truck Is Finally Coming Home

I put a new water pump on but it still wants to run hotter than I like at idle and very slow traffic ,may have to add an electric fan for those times .

Re: My Truck Is Finally Coming Home

I finally got to drive my truck to Hayesville ,North Carolina today to let the previous owner see it in person .He had only seen pics of it during the beginning of the resto .He was overjoyed to see it looking good again and thanked me for bringing it up for him to see it .I asked him if it met his approval and he said it was way beyond what he expected and he was happy it went to a good home . It was a very good day to drive a classic Chevy truck.
