There were some out there, but you wouldn't want 'em. The few I did see were mangled pretty bad.

Re: Junk Yard stuff

I need the chunk of sheet metal that holds the wiper motor on my '69.

That IH Metro looks better than the one that was hit by shrapnel from a 175MM rocket when I was at Bien Hoa.

I would love to have that mid 70's crew cab.
Nice pics. Yard crawling is always fun.

Thanks L-J!!

I just talked to my buddy. They are planning on taking ALL of this stuff to the scrap yard and make $260 per vehicle, but they need to break them down and tow them to scrap. So, if it's not "tagged" or "claimed" and you have shipping arrangements, definitly PM or email me!

GRENDEL; the Willy's is claimed, sorry man. I was thinking that would make a sick rat\hot rod.

Re: Junk Yard stuff

All I can say is WOW! Your friend hit the jackpot. If I were in his situation I would just take all the vehicles and make my own scrap yard . Where exactly in Arizona is this place? I wish I lived closer, I'd take a few of those vehicles off his hands!

Re: Junk Yard stuff

Sorry to show my Heretic roots, but I would give ole lefty for all that pristine '58-'60 Ford Truck Iron... Whats the story with that Red and White one with the interesting looking flatbed? wish there were a clearer shot of that bed.

I'm jealous of all the Rust-Free metal there... especially the front fenders, mine are rotted down in the lower corners by the door, which is common for those trucks.

This truck has no earthy reason to be in that yard (course, I can't see the other side...) ... I wonder if it's tailgate is unblemished? and if that front window is unbroken as it looks, I could cry...

Re: Junk Yard stuff

I don't know what's up with that flatbed, it's kinda cool lookin'.

Yeah, that ford does look a little out of place, the window isn't broken but the tailgate is missing.

There's an old house on the property, it almost seem like there was a ragin party, they all left and forgot about their vehicle's....permantly

Edit: Shaffer, your not to far away, make a trip over and lets go get you some parts!

That one is claimed, I can't take parts off of it...... I was staring at that thing thinking how cool of a rat rod it would be with the flathead I scored from there.

Re: Junk Yard stuff

bout as dumb as the guys that put Chevy engines in their fords?

I thought about putting a flathead ford in a Camaro just to avenge all the Ford hot-rods with SBCs in them

Cool Stude, but I spy a Dodge (Military) Power Wagon in the background! (I have a '43 WC-53 Carryall myself.. though it is soon to go away...))

**EDIT** Though, I spied the backside of it and it may actually be a WWII era GMC

Isn't that a International? The hubcaps have the IH on them.

I was thinking it may look cool as an open wheel rat type rod.... tale the fenders and side steps off, cut the center of the grill to match the width of the hood.
