Kick down cable adjustment

I swapped out my tranny this week and my old one didnt have a kick down cable. I have a new cable on the TH350 and not sure how to adjust it.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Kick down cable adjustment

305 motor, 500cfm Edelbrock carb and manifold. The bracket will be coming in today. The bracket will bolt up to the two rear manifold bolts on the drivers side.

This is the bracket and it has a pic like what my setup will be.

Re: Kick down cable adjustment

You might need a bracket on your carb. Set it up like in the pic. There's a tab on the cable where it goes thru the bracket. You push it up from the bottom side, stroke your carb wide open and push the tab back down.

Re: Kick down cable adjustment

I do have a place to mount the end of the cable.

Mounting everything up I can handle, I wanted to know when in the throttle position does the kickdown cable get pulled. Is it half throttle or full throttle.. Know what I mean?

I know the end of the cable can be adjusted and also where it mounts to the bracket, there is an adjustment there too.

Re: Kick down cable adjustment

It gets pulled at wide open throttle.
