Re: Vintage Air

I wish I did, but I don't have it yet. The one I want uses stock style vents that you drill/dremel yourself and also uses the stock heater control for both heat and AC. There's a pic on their site, but it's small and hard to see.

I'll bet if you emailed them they could point you to pics of installations.

Re: Vintage Air

I bought a Vintage Air sure fit unit last year. I live in Tampa and it gets hot here also. My ac unit cools down my cab in any heat. I recently changed my seats and insulated the floor and cab walls for sound proofing and heat. I have noticed a big diff. in noise but really its rained so much lately it hasn't been that hot. Vintage Air came with everything I needed including the dash vents and went in easy. I'm very happy with it and would reccommend it without any hesitation at all. I don't have any vents under the dash, it looks like factory air. Oh yeah, you do lose some glove box space with this unit but they supply a new glove box to install so it clears everything. Sweet!

Re: Vintage Air

Okay, here it goes. I just talked to Adam at Old Air, he told me that I can use the factory hoses with the square polished firewall bulkhead so that will save $$$ right there. I told him that I will be buying 3 setups at once and he said he would make it worth my while

I will put in an order next week for a 69 with the billet bulkhead, polished compressor and custom matching alternator brackets. The other system is for a 72 but with the plain jane bulkhead that comes with the kit, plus the matching alt bracket and polished compressor. The last system will be for my Sons new (to us) 2dr 72 Nova. As of now it has a 6 cyl which Old Air has all the correct brackets for so once we convert it to a V8 we will just have to get the brackets replaced. And for only $30, we'll get the polished compressor for that as well.

I am extremely excited about being able to shave my firewall and not be out a couple bills more due to special hoses and stuff (Old Air's billet bulkhead allows the regular hoses to just pass through).

I'll let you guys know when I get it...Now it's back out to fill in the firewall

Re: Vintage Air

Yea I'll take some pics as I go. As soon as I find a seat I'll rip into it cause I'm gonna rip out the interior and do the soundproof & insulation thing as well as new seat all at once.
