292 I6 Oil dipstick

Good morning everyone,

I’ve recently got my 292 up and running but need an oil dipstick for it. Would anyone know where to get one? I bought one for a SBC but it’s way too long. Alternatively I could cut and remark this one I just need to know how much oil a 292 takes. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Re: 292 I6 Oil dipstick

Most of what I've read points to 6 US quarts or 5.7 litres. Some took an extra quart though, something about a different oil filter setup, or a deeper pan in the big trucks.

It's been a long time since I did an oil change on a 292; we had one in a 67 dual wheeled 1 ton flat deck. It was a good work truck.
