LMC speakers

I believe my in dash speaker is shot, hopefully its not the radio but I'm getting ready to take my dash apart and find out. But since my radio is original and I'm wanting to keep it that way, if I replace the speaker, LMC has a speaker that is suppose to match everything from the original and you just remove the old one, and plug in the new one to the radio and bolt it up.
My question is LMC is saying it plugs into the radio and connects both channels of the stereo to one speaker. The problem is, I don't have a stereo in my radio (at least I don't think so seeing how its a 1968). So would I have to look for a different speaker? Or would the one LMC is selling work?
Thanks for any clarification on this. I appreciate it.
Joe

Lol, sorry I wasn't clear. I have the original radio in the truck and it is an AM radio without any capabilities of being in stereo.

Re: LMC speakers

If wanting to use the LMC unit you can just wire the two speakers in series. + to - from one speaker to the other. Wire the leftover + from one speaker and - from the other to the radio. Would be better for your radio anyway as it would provide an 8 ohm load. I would recommend just getting a stock type replacement as referred in post #2
